Cruz Azul USA Youth Players, Parents and Directors want to thank all of you that participated at their recent fundraising event. The event was extremely successful for the youth players as well as an exciting and unforgettable event for all.

An official youth soccer development academy of Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul de Mexico, the membership received a VIP invitation to attend the Premier Division’s training venue during the team’s stay here in Southern California on July 11.

Prof. Alberto Lopez Zarza, his wife Natalie and media managers, Enrique Aguilera and Armando Davalos greeted the Premier Division Team, and their Coach, Prof. Enrique Meza at the training camp. After the team’s training drills, the premier division players fraternized with the academy youth and parents.They signed autographs and participated in some photo opportunities for all in attendance.

The academy directors, Prof. Alberto Lopez Zarza, and his wife Natalie, also want to thank the event promoters, Santa Barbara Soccer Promotions for inviting the academy youth to accompany the premier team on field during the opening ceremony at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The youth players participated in the tunnel line-up and during the game venue acted as ball boys.

In all it was a learning opportunity for the youth members who experienced first hand the logistics of the professional game venues and witnessed first-hand the physical demands on a professional soccer player. This was an exciting event for the young academy members who aspire to be front line players in the future.
